CEREC Chairline
Sirona Dental Systems has introduced the CEREC Chairline for the complete integration of CEREC into the C8+ treatment center. The CEREC Chairline module, including the camera, is located behind the monitor. With this design, the camera is always close at hand. A separate acquisition unit is no longer necessary. The integration creates more space in the operatory. The workflow is comfortable because patient consultation and explanations can be immediately followed by CEREC treatment. The dentist can operate the camera using a dual-function foot switch attached to the treatment center foot control. The CEREC package also includes a personal computer (PC) with the CEREC 3D software. The design steps can be carried out either via the trackball located on the treatment center or on the PC in the operatory. The CEREC camera can be easily removed and attached to other CEREC-prepared C8+ treatment centers in the practice. It combines, in a harmonious design, the economic and clinical advantages of CEREC with the ergonomic and hygienic advantages of Sirona's C8+ treatment centers. CEREC Chairline consists of two components, the CEREC Chairline module and the CEREC Chairline integration package for the C8+ treatment center.

Pulpdent Corporation is offering an informative patient brochure that promotes patient education, oral health, and also serves as a practice builder. The new Pulpdent patient brochure explains how sealants are applied and why they work. Frequently asked questions such as "When should teeth be sealed?" and "How long will the sealants last?" are answered. Clear illustrations show how the fast, easy, painless procedure is performed. The brochure includes a brief summary of a clinical study to demonstrate the success of Embrace sealant use. The study showed that after a minimum of 2 years, none of the 1,102 teeth sealed with the Embrace WetBond Pit and Fissure Sealant had developed caries on the sealed occlusal surfaces. Embrace is the first sealant resin that can be applied to the moist tooth. It integrates with tooth structure, forming a margin-free interface that virtually eliminates microleakage.

Third Edition of the Lorin Library Smile Style Guide
The third edition of the Lorin Library Smile Style Guide has been released. The new cover is even more patient-friendly, and the new price is even more dentist- friendly. The Lorin Library has two modules. First is the Smile Style Guide. This spiral-bound, full-color, 88-page book presents a three-step process for the selection and communication of an unambiguous smile design. Step one is selecting the shape of the cuspid. This is done by viewing a page of smiles shown from the lateral view. Flat, round, and pointed cuspids are demonstrated. Step two is the selection of the shape of the four incisors as they appear with the chosen cuspid shape. You can view each shape combination as it appears from the front, side, and portrait views. Because the variations are subtle changes in the incisal third (or incisal embrasures) of each tooth, the book also gives you the option of comparing all the options on a single page. The esthetic perception of relative tooth length is also a matter of personal taste. Step three allows you to define the relative length of the incisors as they relate to the cuspids. Four relative incisor lengths are shown to allow your patient to choose a preference with your guidance. This book is appropriate for your reception room, treatment rooms, and all rooms where you may be discussing smile design with your patient.
