Isolite i2
I
solite Systems has introduced the next generation of dryfield illuminator—the Isolite i2. The Isolite i2 features the new LED technology, which provides ultra-bright light, extremely long life, and a sleeker presence in the dental operatory. The LED innovation is made possible by Isolite Systems' proprietary cooling technology. This engineering advance means that the extraneous light boxes and fiber-optic cables are no longer necessary, thereby freeing up space in the dental operatory. The strong, super-lightweight Isolite titanium control head weighs only 2.5 oz and can be easily moved and used by dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists. As with the original Isolite, simultaneous isolation of upper and lower quadrants is easy, swift, and incredibly comfortable for the patient. Dual fingertip controls for vacuum strength allow for infinite adjustment of maxillary and mandibular vacuum strength—especially with patients with tooth sensitivity.

New Zirconia Esthetic Abutment Concept
N
obel Biocare has introduced a new concept for restorative implant dentistry—the Procera Esthetic Abutment Selection Kit. This unique concept offers individual predetermined abutment designs in zirconia that optimize biocompatibility and soft tissue response, while virtually eliminating the need for a fixture level impression. The abutments come in a variety of predetermined sizes and shapes derived from analyses of thousands of clinical cases. The kit offers a variety of premade zirconia abutments, allowing the dentist to choose the one that best matches the patient's tissue contours. The Procera Esthetic Abutments are extremely flexible, allowing a surgeon or restorative dentist the freedom to modify the abutment and prepare the crown outside of a patient's mouth. Procera Esthetic Abutments offer same-day placement and temporization, resulting in less chair time and happier patients. The Procera Esthetic Abutment Selection Kit is simple to use and provides for easy inventory control while also requiring minimal storage space. The kit provides a tool to hold the abutment for prepping extraorally. The kit is uniquely designed to enable a clinician to mix and match narrow, regular, and wide platforms for either the Bränemark System or NobelReplace implant system with straight or angled abutments, and high or low margins for the anterior and posterior portions of the mouth.
